Description:
As time progresses I'm sure I'll be submitting some HELP pictures. We are designing this house as we go along. For now, does anybody have an idea for our wet bar soffit. The wires hanging from the ceiling is for puck lights. We were initially going to use a 1" textured glass suspended from the secondary ceiling but couldn't find the right look. The bar countertop is a granite called Labradorite Blue. The Stainless Steel Staircases and Railings were made by our company. I think my husband did a beautiful job in designing it. More to come!

Please excuse my ignorance. What is a wet bar soffit? And what are puck lights. Congratulations on building your dream home. Looking forward to seeing the next phases.

A soffit is an architectural feature - in our case its the underside of the ceiling to bring it closer to the bar countertop so there isn't too much space between the ceiling and the countertop. Puck lights are those that you would see under cabinets in the kitchen. We chose this option so that the lights would shine on the granite which have beautiful colored scales much like abalone shells.

never knew there was a word for under-cabinet lighting! are u sure u want diffuse overhead lighting for the bar instead of more intimate pendant lights? also love both ur staircases. the big one has that cool organic curve and the secret space underneath--what will that room be? and the small spiral one--i had one like that in a house and i loved it. always felt like i was climbing up to the crow's nest of a ship!
