This is my 5 year olds bathroom and also my guest bathroom. I would like to update this room by adding a new vanity, granite counter top, and brushed nickel faucets.

I think there are a thousand bathrooms that look like yours. I had two of them. I recently replaced the cabs along with the cabs in my kitchen and included granite countertops that extended in a "banjo" over the toilet. This is Phase I. Phase three is to ripout the bathtup and shower and put in a step in shower. In the meantime, find a fun shower curtain to cover up your top area. Kmart or walmart have fun curtains and fun shower hooks. I also have a challenge with my toilet. Its a wall mount. So if I put tile, it raised the toilet and it won't fit. Ekkkkers! I'll figure that one out later. Good Luck! Cindi

With so many options and choices you'll have fun. Maybe a small shower will give you a bit more space. If you don't need under cabinet storage you could go with a pedestal sink.

Mirrored wall or a reasonably sized mirror to make the room look bigger. There are some modern looking sink that you can find half the size of what you have with the glass sink on top It's beautiful and it's also a conversation piece.

Adding a fun paint color and accessories can jazz up an otherwise boring room. Definitely don't want to lose storage space by putting in pedestal sink, especially with kids. I just had that situation and was extremely frustrated that the bathroom looked messy. Getting a shower curtain and caddy will help contain the clutter in the tub. I used plastic baskets that could be stored under the sink and brought it out at bath time. Love the idea of granite top.
