wow, u already have a relaxed, pulled-together rustic look going in an old-fashioned island-style house. i could take tips from u! one question: was there originally an 8-foot ceiling that u took out, or was the house built w/o a ceiling?

What a great location. This must be a sanctuary for you when you are home. Love the open beam ceiling. What kind of updating plans do you have so far?
