Our daughters room was inspired by her love of butterflies and fairies. Her favorite color is purple. Rather than making the room purple, I chose yellow as a more neutral color and picked up the purple in the bedding and accent chair. My favorite part is the chair which I found on the side of the road. I painted and reupholstered it in her favorite color, and it is a timeless piece she will be able to keep forever.

u had me w/ 'side of the road.' what a fantastic find, and a great testament of ur love for ur daughter. one tiny suggestion would be to add a medium-size purple element on the blank wall above the bed--lavender-tinted photo of her, or painting of purple flowers, etc, to give the room some vertical orientation in that corner.
