We ordered in some beautiful australian hardwood countertops. They were a bit pricier than some of the other options to me, totally worth it. this shot was taken with the boards and sink in place before we actually installed them, but it gives you a good idea!
We have the splash boards to install, we have them ordered coming, and the back wall to complete. Almost there with it. Will keep posting!

We just moved houses, and bought a bit of a fixer-upper. We liked the piece of land that this nice, albeit funky, little 3 bedroom house was built on. We really didn't like this kitchen that much so it was the first thing that I wanted to start working on.

Description:
The whole project was done by myself and my family. We put in a new ceiling with new lighting (in progress, there's no fixtures yet!) got rid of the tiles and ugly counter tops. A new gas range is already in place.
And yes as you can tell that's me doing some handy work on those benches.

We all hated the old cabinets but didn't want to spend a chunk of our budget on new ones, so we pulled them out, primed them and painted them ourselves. We also put in the light fixtures and the exhaust for the range...

Your work gave me some ideas for my 30 year old kitchen. You may want to add color via valance for your window and floor rugs. Thank you for sharing.
