Description:
We are renovating the downstairs of our house. We are planning to enclose the patio and make it into a bedroom. There are now 2 sliding glass/wooden doors (very 50's) that lead to the patio. Should we/could we keep those doors and somehow enhance them to add a decorative functional flair. There is a third glass door behind the curtain which we are thinking about removing and making into a pocket area so the 2 doors could slide into when open.
Need some help to decide if we should just remove those doors and put other more modern and conventional doors that would slide into the pockek.
Thanks for any suggestions or comments.

have u thot abt a pair of french doors? that wd keep the same basic look of ur current doors, but make them more user-friendly, w/ hardware that cd suit the look of the rest of the room. this way u cd also center the doors in the middle of the wall, where the 2 sliding doors u wd keep are now at flush left, and french doors are more stylish in themselves.

Are you enclosing the patio for a bedroom that will be used permanently? What else is downstairs? Is this for a family member or will you be renting it out to someone? If the bedroom needs privacy, do you intend to use the curtain to cover the glass? I look forward to more information. I actually love those old doors but my answer might depend on how the room is going to be used and what the rest of the downstairs is like.
