I want to sit at the optimum distance from my TV which is about 12'. How do I define two different spaces, perhaps one for a work/study desk and bookshelves? Of course the TV seating must be comfortable!

Are you able to upload photos of a couple of other angles of this room? I might have suggested reversing the tv area and desk/work area but I can't tell if that's a door by the tv and how much area is behind the door. Do you want to use existing furniture or are you going to be purchasing pieces? Do you use the window...do you open those blinds? Do you have bookshelves or screens to use as dividers?

I would suggest placing the tv on the opposite wall and putting the desk in the corner by the door. Maybe you could put a console table behind the two chairs to create an entry way. If this set up makes the chairs too close to the tv maybe try placing the tv on the wall where the desk is now and the chairs a few feet from the window facing the tv wall. Hope this helps.
