We have aready picked out the cabinets and floors . . . Now we need to know which wall colors would best complement our previous choices, while being durable enough for a kitchen full of children!

Are you sticking with a warm theme overall -- warm surfaces and countertops, warm lighting etc? If so, I vote for pumpkin! Or something in the dark golden, ochre family. Something that looks comforting and makes you want to eat!

Picking up on one the warmer colors in the flooring would be a good choice for the walls, it would tie the whole room together.

I'm thinking a warm sage green. Be sure to post the end result!

What are the counter tops going to be? You could pick-up on the warm tones of the floor in the counter top... then you could really paint the walls any color and tie it all together with lighting and accents.

By now you must have lots of progress (first remark was last December). Did I miss it or have you not shown off your finished kitchen. Would love to see it.

I would choose a warm ocre from the tiles, one which accents the "cool" cabinets and makes that wonderful floor sing!

your all wall color could be coordinated with your counter top choice. if you're going granite - choose one of the neutral tones in the stone for a calming look, or go for a bolder color in the stone for a more dramatic energized look. good luck!

I would pull the lightest color out of the tile for the walls, otherwise it will feel too dark unless you have tons of natural light.
