I found nifty shadow boxes at Pictures Plus in Kakaako -- used the black lacquer boxes (available also in white - in 2 generous sizes, priced at $34.95 and large $74.95) to encase and display antique embroideries purchased in li jang china. Pictures Plus also have a nice selection of koa shadow box frames, shown here with an arrangement of shells and a starfish that I purchased from a little boutique on Lewers St. in Waikiki. Shells displays make great bathroom art!

great idea. i've had some antique laotian weavings for years and this wd be a good display treatment, but mine have no touch of black or white. i wish pictures plus sold these in matte gold!

These could be used to frame so many different things. I think it would be a good way to display my son's soccer medals.
